Hi

The pricing relationship between houses and units is an interesting one to track. The house premium varies over time, and has widened in recent years due in large part to the pandemic. Going through lockdown in a house is more comfortable than a unit. The premium in Perth has jumped from 32.7% to 49.1% in the last 4 years. This points towards unit prices increasing strongly moving forward as affordability constraints for houses grows. Full details from Corelogic.

Plus the negative gearing debate is back on the table, REI weighs in.
